Apple "has some homework to do," he said. "A lot of work is being done to make the best product. The focus is on the editorial and playlists, and obviously we have teams around the world working on this," added the Apple leader.
The firm also promises new features and rectify "certain things". The Guardian is indeed an echo of user complaints about the Apple Music interface, deemed unintuitive, and bugs in bookstores.
"The product is always our priority [...] Of course, we strive every day to improve it" assures Oliver Schusser. The word of Apple executives is rare, especially when it comes to confess weaknesses.
But the timing is not insignificant. Apple Music free period will end on 30 September. At that date, users will have to decide whether they wish to pay monthly 9.99 or 14.99 euros.
In early August, Apple boss in charge of online services, Eddy Cue, Apple announced Music totaled 11 million registered or testers. Still according to him, two million had already subscribed to the family to 14.99 euros. Nothing however the standard subscription and the actual subscription.
The priority for Apple in September is to convert a maximum of testers into clients. In August, a study with US users MusicWatch estimated 48% share of registered deserting the service. Apple provides, however, that this share is much lower, around 21%, but did not specify the exact nature of that figure.
